Carol Stephenson

Ms. Stephenson is the current director of Oak City Sound, with an extensive music background. She was most recently the director of the Greensboro NC Barbershop Chorus, for 4 years, and is the Director of Traditional Music at Fuquay-Varina UM Church (vocal, instrumentals, and administration).  She also sings tenor with both the 7th Dimension Barbershop Quartet and with the Fayetteville NC Barbershop chorus.

in her professional life, Carol has been a university professor of vocal music, coaching, choral direction (men's and women's), musical theatre, and music performance, including having started the barbershop choral program at the University of La Verne in southern California.  Additionally, she has been a performer as part of quartets and as a soloist for various professional groups.
