Dr. Kenneth Tice

Dr. Tice grew up in Cary, North Carolina, and attended Apex High School where his quartet won first place in the Wake County High School Barbershop Competition the first two years of the event sponsored by the RTP Chapter.  He received his Doctorate in Choral Conducting from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and holds a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from East Carolina University.

Dr. Tice has taught choral music at the middle school, high school, and collegiate level for fifteen years in North Carolina, Texas, Ohio, South Dakota, and South Carolina.  Choirs under his direction have received superior ratings at festivals and contests. He has also worked with many churches of various denominations and community choirs for ten concurrent years.  In addition to his experience as a choral conductor, Dr. Tice has also served as Music Director/Director for a number of community, high school and collegiate musicals, and has performed in theatre groups in North Carolina, South Dakota, and South Carolina.
