Bob Inskeep will be out in the parking lot helping all to the best parking and entranceway.

2. Carol's Korner

We had a great rehearsal on Monday! Keep building on the principles we focused on:

  • Sing with meaning so the breath is a natural part of the phrasing.
  • Place the vowel of each word or syllable on the beat, with the consonant slightly BEFORE the beat.
  • ALWAYS have a direction in every note you sing. NEVER park.
  • Lift the soft palate before you start to sing so that there is an arch over every single note, not a flat roof.
  • Remember to HAVE FUN!!

3. Future Notes

  • March 18 (Monday) 6pm: Oak City Sound in Concert at The Cypress of Raleigh, 8801 Cypress Lakes Dr, Raleigh, NC  27615. The Mixed Chorus will be part of the performance if the Music Leadership determines that they are ready on their songs! [Ed.: That would be awesome if they were ready so quickly!]

4. Long Range

  • April 19 to 21: Carolinas District Convention in Pinehurst NC. Quartets will compete on Friday evening. The Mixed and the Men's Choruses will compete, separately, on Saturday!
