1. High Notes
  • New Vote: MEMBERS & FUTURE / INTERESTED MEMBERS: Please vote on which date/format you would prefer for our January banquet. This is an annual celebration to:
  1. Present annual awards.
  2. Welcome and install the new board.
  3. Socialize and get to know each other better!
  • Concert Tickets are running out! There are around 40 tickets left for our December 16 show at Halle Cultural Center. TO BUY TICKETS:

  • Dec. 1 (Mon) – CONCERT / short rehearsal after
    • Holiday Chorus, Mixed Chorus and Men’s Chorus will sing. Don’t forget to bring your music binder!
    • Women will sing Silent Night this week!
    • Call times:  6:15p for Mixed & Men’s. 7:00p for Holiday Chorus.
      • Performance starts at 7pm
    • Wear your HOLIDAY outfit.
    • Location is Whispering Pines Cary: 7501 Lead Mine Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615
    • If you have been a guest at one of our rehearsals and aren’t planning to sing with the Holiday Chorus, you are welcome to attend and watch.
    • As Carol said this week, new singers can join the Mixed or Men’s chorus for certain songs if they feel comfortable and have the song memorized.
    • We WILL have a short rehearsal AFTER the hour-long show.

2. Overtures

  • December 16 (Tuesday – 7:30pm): Holiday Show (public concert) – Halle Cultural Arts Center (downtown Apex)    (Performance)
    • Regular Chorus call time TENATIVE: 5p

  • December 22 (Mon), 7pm: Waltonwood (Lake Boone Trail)  (Performance)
  • December 29 (Mon): Time TBD – Sing-out at the main Rex Hospital – Holiday Chorus members are invited to join us!
2026 Dates:
  • January will mark the beginning of rehearsals at Glenaire, 4000 Glenaire Circle, Cary.
  • Jan. 12 or 16 will be our awards/installation party (VOTE ABOVE if you haven’t!)
  • April 17-18:  District Convention & Contest (Hendersonville, N.C.) – optional, but most members try to go. Our chorus usually sings for evaluation scores. Any of our quartets plan to compete?!

5. Festivo (Holiday)
  • Holiday Chorus reminders:
    • Practice the HC songs (below) – no need to memorize.
    • No fee, no special costume – we will again do a solid-color holiday top/sweater and black bottoms.
    • HC singers are invited to sing at our holiday concert (Dec. 16, Tuesday) and/or at any of our holiday shows at various locations (Nov. 24 & Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22)
