1. High Notes
  • ALL SINGERS – DUE FRIDAY, Nov. 21: Will you be singing at any/all our concerts? Please let us know in the short form below.
  • Concert Tickets are now available for our December 16 show at Halle Cultural Center. They are likely to sell out quickly, so don't wait too long to get tickets for friends and family!  TO BUY TICKETS:

    • When the “Songs of the Season” page opens, click the “scheduled event” link in the third paragraph.
    • When the event page opens, click the red picture of tickets that says “buy tickets!”
    • Choose your options in the dropdown menu, “Add to Cart,” and complete the process.
  • Nov. 24 (Mon) – FIRST HOLIDAY CONCERT / short rehearsal after
    • Holiday Chorus, Mixed Chorus and Men’s Chorus will sing. Don’t forget to bring your music binder!
    • Call time is 6:15p (performance at 7pm).
    • Wear your HOLIDAY outfit.
    • Meet at The Templeton of Cary: 215 Brightmore Dr. Cary, NC 27518
    • If you have been a guest at one of our rehearsals and aren’t planning to sing with the Holiday Chorus, you are welcome to attend and watch.
    • As Carol said this week, new singers can join the Mixed or Men’s chorus for certain songs if they feel comfortable and have the song memorized.
    • We WILL have a short rehearsal AFTER the hour-long show.
2. Overtures
  • Meetup Group – Remember to RSVP for each rehearsal and afterward, RATE us on Meetup. We are listed under Oak City Sound or “Raleigh Area A Cappella Singing Meetup Group.”
  • N.C. State Home Game Concessions – This is our KEY fundraiser for the year. Sign up here:  https://tinyurl.com/25OCSconcess
    • Call time is 5:30p for Nov. 21 (Friday) game. The final game is Nov. 29.
  • New name badges are here! How do you get one?
    • Work a shift at NCSU home game concessions – no cost.
    • Join as a NEW OCS member – no cost.
    • Current members – replace for $20 (reach out to Warren).
  • Fundraiser or Concert Suggestions? – Contact a member of the board and let us know.

  • Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we had 21 guests this Monday! What an exciting time for OCS! We are thrilled to have you all singing with us!
  • Isn't it EXCITING to sing in a big chorus?? Enjoy the ride and remember that we never want to out-sing one another and never sing louder than beautiful.

  • December 16 (Tuesday – 7:30pm): Holiday Show (public concert) – Halle Cultural Arts Center (downtown Apex)    (Performance)

  • December 29 (Mon): Tentative – Regular choruses sing-out at the main Rex Hospital

5. Festivo (Holiday)
  • Holiday Chorus reminders:
    • Practice the HC songs (below) – no need to memorize.
    • No fee, no special costume – we will again do a holiday top/sweater and black bottoms.
    • HC singers are invited to sing at our holiday concert (Dec. 16, Tuesday) and/or at any of our holiday shows at various locations (Nov. 24 & Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22)
