1. High Notes
  • June 9 (Monday): The most new friends EVER! Thanks to all our guests for coming out:
    • Welcome Ceil Blackwell, Deanna Franklin, Gary Bean, and Winta Lee. Hope to see you all again soon. And welcome back Ray for the 2nd time!
    • We had 31 singers!
  • THIS FRIDAY, June 13: Panda Express Fundraiser. Code is 9003970. You MUST order online / via app and USE THE CODE. We get 28% of the orders!

  • PLEASE VOTE FOR A DATE for our Coaching Session! We would like to schedule a session with a Performance Coach – please vote for the Mondays that you KNOW you will be available.
  • June 16 (Monday) PERFORMANCE: The Forest at Duke, 2701 Pickett Rd., Durham, 27705
    • Call: 6:15p (or as soon as you can arrive)
    • Performance:  7pm
    • Outfits: The usual – our regular long-sleeve teal shirts and black bottoms.
    • Directions (thanks Bob Inskeep!): They are very enthused and are already talking about us coming back!
      • Your GPS should take you right to the guard house at The Forest at Duke…then straight ahead.
      • Plenty of parking out front.
      • Go in the main door to the desk…she’ll direct you down the hall to the right.
      • The auditorium is at the end of the hall…a good practice room is halfway down on the left.
      • EMMA QUICK, or her associate AJIA (AHH zyah) will probably be there to guide you.
         
  • June 23 (Monday):
    • REHEARSAL:
      • SUMMER LOCATION at The Templeton of Cary  (PLEASE watch your email if this changes)
      • 215 Brightmore Dr, Cary; Heater Hall (enter through front doors and go straight, and the room is on the right)
    • 6:45p usual start time Mixed chorus; 8pm business; 8:15p Men’s
    • Be sure to park in the DECK. Do NOT park in any spaces marked “Resident”!
2. Overtures
  • Carol has received confirmation from the Chick-Fil-A at Waverly Place, and we will be setting up a Monday night fundraiser for a regular rehearsal night. Details coming soon!
  • SAVE THE DATES for N.C. State Home Game Concessions – This is our KEY fundraiser for the year! Please check your schedules for fall to see if you can commit to AT LEAST one or two games. To work the game, you will need complete an online training ahead of time. (For newbies, see a board member for more details.)

  • Concert Suggestions? – The more organizational funding we get from group concerts, the less formal fundraising we have to do. Contact our Marketing VP Bob Inskeep with any ideas.

3. Carol's Cadence 
  • What a fantastic rehearsal this week! Thank you for welcoming and supporting our guests so well!
  • Please listen to the short videos of the Vocal Summit rehearsal from my visit to Oregon and work on applying some of the things you hear happening in those short clips. Internal motivation, forward momentum, singing complete ideas, etc. Little changes can have a BIG impact!
