1. High Notes
  • May 5 (Monday):
    • It was nice to meet Carolyn Edge! And welcome back Ivan Tang.
    • Good job working in sectionals this week. It’s a tight timeline to learn Grand Old Flag so keep working on it this week, and we’ll rehearse it a little after next week’s performance.
  • May 9 –TODAY, Friday!  OCS Fundraiser at Panda Express.
    • Get the Panda Express app and order food to pick up on May 9......fundraiser code MUST be entered when you order the food – we get a whopping 28%!
    • Orders MUST be placed online at pandaexpress.com or in the Panda Express app!
    • You MUST use our Fundraiser code........9003969……. or we won’t get credit!  
    • Tell everyone.....share with anyone in the World!
  • May 12 (Monday): PERFORMANCE at Searstone (NEW BUILDING @ 19001 Searstone Dr, Cary)
    • 6:15p CALL time
    • 7p Performance
    • Short rehearsal immediately after (around 8p)
    • Usual wardrobe of blue shirts, black bottoms

2. Overtures
  • Meetup Group – Remember to RSVP for each rehearsal and afterward, RATE us on Meetup. We are listed under Oak City Sound or “Raleigh Area A Cappella Singing Meetup Group.”
  • May 26 (Monday – Memorial Day) – NO REHEARSAL.
  • Any Concert Suggestions? – The more organizational funding we get from group concerts, the less formal fundraising we have to do. Contact our Marketing VP Bob Inskeep with any ideas.

3. Carol's Cadence 
  • Great work in combined and sectional rehearsals on Monday!
  • Keep getting all of the notes and words locked in for the patriotic songs. This will be a great alternate program that will appear on our schedule again leading into July 4 and possibly for other appropriate occasions.

    • NOTE:  We WILL rehearse after the performance and a brief greeting time, so please be ready to get back to work. We need to be performance ready with Battle Hymn and Grand Old Flag for May 19.
