1. High Notes
  • April 28 (Monday):
    • A well-received performance at Springmoor!
  • May 5 (Monday): Regular rehearsal, usual location, 4000 Glenaire Circle, Cary.
    • 6:45p – Mixed Chorus
    • 8p – Business Meeting
    • 8:15p – Men’s Chorus
  • May 9 – NEXT Friday!  OCS Fundraiser at Panda Express - code 9003969
    • Get the Panda Express app and order food to pick up on May 9......fundraiser code MUST be entered when you order the food and we get a whopping 28%.

2. Overtures
  • Reminder to join our Meetup Group (listed under Oak City Sound or “Raleigh Area A Cappella Singing Meetup Group.” Respond that you are coming to each meeting!
  • May 26 (Monday – Memorial Day) – NO REHEARSAL.
  • June – August:  We will not be able to practice in our usual room at Glenaire. Stay tuned as we work on locking down a temporary practice area.
  • Dec 16 (Tuesday) is LOCKED for our Holiday Concert! Save the date!
  • Any Concert Suggestions? – The more organizational funding we get from group concerts, the less formal fundraising we have to do. Contact our Marketing VP Bob Inskeep with any ideas.

3. Carol's Cadence 
  • Last Monday went well. For the first time in recent chorus history (20 years?!), we did NOT run through any full song for the performance. We merely started them all, stopping after just a dozen measures. And we had NO major mistakes (and not really any minor ones that an audience would notice)… just our usual "not following the director's instructions" stuff with vowels, line, emphasis, etc.
  • Everyone seems to be so comfortable with what we just performed, with only a few songs skipped from our repertoire, that we clearly need to get some new songs to work on.
  • FYI, in just a few months, we will switch over to holiday songs, probably keeping just half of what we sang last year.
