1. High Notes
  • April 21 (Monday):
    • A well-received performance at Woodland Terrace! Those low-ceilings make for a great setting to hear each other sing.
  • April 28 (Monday): Performance at Springmoor, 1500 Sawmill Rd, Raleigh, 27615.
    • 6:15p: Call time in The Chapel – outfits: black bottoms, teal OCS shirt (no jackets)
    • Keep working on Battle Hymn for our Memorial Day concerts.
  • Reminder to join our Meetup Group (listed under Oak City Sound or “Raleigh Area A Cappella Singing Meetup Group.” Respond that you are coming to each meeting!
  • Stay Tuned for the date for our upcoming Panda Express fundraiser!
2. Overtures
  • May 26 (Monday – Memorial Day) – NO REHEARSAL.
  • June – August:  We will not be able to practice in our usual room at Glenaire. Stay tuned as we work on locking down a temporary practice area.
  • Dec 16 (Tuesday) is LOCKED for our Holiday Concert! Save the date!
  • Any Concert Suggestions? – The more organizational funding we get from group concerts, the less formal fundraising we have to do. Contact our Marketing VP Bob Inskeep with any ideas.

3. Carol's Cadence 
  • We have a few options for our summer rehearsal location, so we don't need people to keep looking. Stay tuned for where we are landing for the summer months!
  • Restaurant fundraisers will be starting soon! Work up an appetite and be ready to share with friends far and near!
  • Fun and entertaining show on Monday! Let's do it again next week!
  • Keep working on Battle Hymn for our Memorial Day concerts.

  • This Saturday, April 26, Saturday night at 7:30pm in Winston-Salem, N.C. – FREE barbershop concert, open to the public. Held at Salem Academy and College; Elberson Fine Arts Center; 430 Leaders Avenue, Winston-Salem. Featuring:
    • Forecast & Let’s Sing Quartets – award-winning men’s barbershop quartet
    • Salem Academy A Cappella Singers – young women’s barbershop harmony
